VP Sponsorships, Events and Charitable Giving | NRG Energy
As Vice President of Sponsorships, Events & Charitable Giving, Rodriguez is responsible for leading our corporate sponsorship and event efforts across Reliant and NRG, as well as the Reliant Charitable Giving and Foundation team.
He came to Reliant from Forest Labs, Inc., where he most recently served as senior director of marketing, leading the Benicar brand team. Prior to joining Forest, he worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. as Director, Strategy and Business Planning for Plavix. While at Bristol-Myers, Manny also led the consumer launch of Pargluva.
Rodriguez serves on the board of directors of American Council on Exercise (ACE) one of the countries largest fitness certification bodies. He earned a BS in Finance from Seton Hall University and a Master’s Degree in International Business from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

NRG also has organized special responses for victims of extreme catastrophe, such as the Haitian earthquake and the Japanese tsunami in 2010. Employee donations were tripled to maximize the contributions.
