
Diana Perez is the Weekend Evening Anchor and weekday General Assignment Reporter for CBS Boston’s WBZ-TV News.
Since joining the WBZ-TV team in March, 2011, Perez has covered many of the region’s biggest stories including the devastating tornadoes in Western Massachusetts, the shooting of Woburn Police Officer Robert Denapoli, the involuntary manslaughter trial of Mark Kerrigan, Hurricane Irene, and the Boston Bruins’ Stanley Cup win.
Before joining WBZ-TV, Perez was the main bureau reporter and fill-in anchor at NBC Connecticut in New Haven, CT. During her time there she covered stories that received national attention including the trial of Steven Hayes who was sentenced to death for the deadly home invasion in Cheshire, CT that left a mother and her two children dead. Perez also extensively covered the murder of a Yale University grad student Annie Le. Prior to NBC Connecticut, Perez was a reporter and morning news anchor at News 12 The Bronx in New York City.
A Hofstra University graduate, Perez has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.
She and her husband, Ducis, are excited to call the Bay State home.
